UHP IDs victim in fatal US-6 crash in Spanish Fork Canyon
Utah Highway Patrol has identified a man killed in a multiple-vehicle crash in Spanish Fork Canyon Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 19-year-old Erik Mack of Mapleton was driving with a passenger in a Honda SUV on US Highway 6 at mile marker 182 when he collided with a semi truck carrying coal and another passenger car. Details are hazy, and the cause of the accident has yet to be found. A passenger from Mack’s vehicle was airlifted to an area hospital in serious condition.
