Two separate accidents on I-80 result in two fatalities(link is external)

The driver drifted right then overcorrected to the left before the vehicle slid across two lanes and crashed, according to the UHP. A female occupant was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, while a 3-year-old girl was also ejected.

Cristina Castro-Salazar, 23, of Wendover, and Lashaey Wright, 24, of West Wendover, Nevada, were killed when the SUV they were riding in rolled. Two other adults and a 3-year-old girl were also injured.

The toddler, whom investigators say was not restrained, was ejected from the vehicle. She was flown to Primary Children's Hospital and remained in critical condition Sunday.

The accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. The driver drifted off the right side of the road and then overcorrected to the left, causing the SUV to slide through the median and roll, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
