"When he touched down and went to take off again, he banked to the left, and evidently the wing hit the ground and it subsequently rolled," Morris said.

Two injured in Wendover plane crash

Elko County Undersheriff Clair Morris said Friday that while Paul Bowden was practicing "touch-and-goes," he "banged the left side of the wing" on the ground and the plane rolled several times.
The two people who were taken to a Utah hospital with injuries sustained in a plane crash at the Wendover airport Thursday night have been identified as pilot Paul Bowden and passenger Marnie Bowden. Paul Bowden was critically injured and transported by medical helicopter to University Hospital. Marnie Bowden was transported by ground crew to an unknown Utah hospital. Bowden was practicing touch-and-go landings with Marnie Bowden as a passenger in a Cessna 172 shortly after 8:20 p.m. Thursday on the airport's main runway.  The aircraft was registered to an company out of Fruit Heights.
