Sgt. Joe Monson of the West Jordan Police said, “We don't believe he could see them. It’s pretty dark out here and it’s after dark hours that the crash did occur."

Todd Johnson was in his electric wheelchair and a witness reported seeing Levi hanging on the back of the wheelchair earlier.

A 44-year-old man and his 11 year-old son riding on a motorized wheelchair were hit and killed by a vehicle Saturday night. The man has been identified as Todd Johnson; the name of his son has not been released. The two were traveling west on 7800 South when the vehicle hit them near 6300 West. The driver immediately pulled over and waited for law enforcement to arrive.
