Passenger dead in 1-car crash in Stowe, Vermont

Authorities tell the Burlington Free Press (bfpne.ws/1PJE4k8) that the car went off the right side of the road and struck a telephone pole before rolling over. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Stowe police have not released the identities of those involved in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

Justin Byrne, 30, of Wolcott, a passenger in the car, died in the crash. The driver, Kayla Languerand, 20, of Wolcott, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Anyone with information on the crash was asked to call the Stowe Police Department at 802-253-7126
