Jocqui Garry killed, Eric Lewis injured when their car leaves road and hits tree.

One person was killed early Sunday morning when the driver lost control, ran off the road and hit a tree.

The accident occured on eastbound on I-264, west of Military Highway in Norfolk. The 1998 Lexus involved was driven by 18 year-old Eric Lewis of Virginia Beach. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The front-seat passenger, identified as 18 year-old Jocqui Garry of Portsmouth died at the scene.

Police said alcohol was not a factor in this accident. There was no information concerning any possible charges.
