State Troopers responded to the 14000 block of Concord Sapponey Road at about 6:30 p.m. and found a 1995 Subaru four-door vehicle fully engulfed in flames, a Virginia State Police Sgt. said in an email.
An investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling southbound on the road when the driver lost control, drove off the road, over-corrected and hit a tree, Anaya said. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to catch fire, which resulted in the driver becoming trapped inside, and he was killed, police said.
