2 children, 1 adult killed in crash on I-66 near Capital Beltway

The crash occurred shortly after 3 a.m., when a Honda SUV traveling eastbound on I-66 lost control near the 64-mile marker, the Virginia State Police (VSP) said. The Honda struck a Toyota SUV and then continued off the right side of the roadway.

Police identify 3 who died in I-66 crash, including 2 young girls

The Honda driver, Lacquora Smith, 28, of Alfred, Maine, died at the scene, as well as two girls, ages 6 and 4.

Maine woman and 2 daighters killed in 3-vehicle Virginia Interstate crash

Smith and her 4-year-old daughter Kennedy and 6-year-old daughter Kyson died at the scene, according to the state police.
