Erik E. Grier, 34, died after his motorcycle collided with the guardrail on Claiborne Parkway in Loudon County, Virginia

At approximately 2:37 p.m., deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The preliminary investigation revealed that the rider lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the guardrail, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
