Man killed in car crash in rural Skamania County

SKAMANIA COUNTY, Wash. '€“ A man was killed when the car he was driving crashed in rural Skamania County Sunday morning. The car had been on fire but nearby campers put it out, according to Kaitlyn Hildenbrand of the Skamania County EMS and Rescue. Around 8:30 a.m., Skamania County EMS was called to the scene of the crash on Forest Service 30 Road, also known as Wind River Highway. Skamania County Sheriff Dave Brown said it took crews more than two hours to free Nett from the car. The man, 59-year-old Lawrence Nett, was pronounced dead at the scene.
