The car driver pulled onto the train tracks at an intersection about 6 miles north of Kelso, and an Amtrak train hit the car, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
Family remembers couple hit and killed by train
The crossing was also the same site of a 2015 fatal accident, according to the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office. In that incident, a woman was struck in her car and died.
