A 14-year-old boy was riding his skateboard on a residential road Tuesday night when he was hit by a minivan that drove away.
A 14-year-old boy was riding his skateboard on a residential road Tuesday night when he was hit by a minivan that drove away. He was reportedly struck from behind by a blue minivan and knocked to the pavement, said a spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff's Office. The boy suffered minor injuries from the crash, which was reported at 9:57 p.m. at 3909 N.E. 52nd Ave. in the Minnehaha area. The driver of the van got out briefly, but then got back in the vehicle and drove away. He was described as a man in his 30 with short, possibly balding hair. The boy's mother took him to a local hospital for treatment of road rash burns. His skateboard was also smashed in the collision.
