Woman, dog killed in crash on state Route 302

The crash occurred about 9:40 a.m. on state Route 302 at 124th Avenue Court KP North. The accident may have been caused by the dog, which was sitting in the driver’s lap, being a distraction, trooper Guy Gill said.

Washington State Patrol said a driver who caused a crash that led to her own death may have been distracted by a small dog sitting on her lap. The two-car crash occurred Wednesday morning on State Route 302 at 118th Avenue Northwest near Purdy.

An adult female was killed Wednesday in a two-car crash on S.R. 302 in Key Peninsula. Two additional passengers, another adult female and a child, were seriously injured. The crash happened at S.R. 302 and 124th Street around 10:00 a.m. Traffic is being diverted around the scene while the Washington State Patrol investigates.
A woman and her dog died Wednesday on the Key Peninsula after her car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle, injuring a mother and daughter, according to the Washington State Patrol.
