That same night, a 35-year-old Port Hadlock man was driving west on Highway 20 in Anacortes about 10:18 p.m. when his 2000 Pontiac GrandAm left the road to the right, hitting the guard rail on the right shoulder, according to State Patrol reports.
The car then crossed the road to the left shoulder, hitting the jersey barrier there.
