29-year-old and 57-year-old injured, arrested for DUI, after a two car crash in Bellevue.
Two drivers face felony charges after Bellevue crash.
Police arrested two drivers involved in an early morning, high-speed DUI crash.
Police arrested two drivers involved in a high-speed DUI crash when an Acura driven by a 29-year-old Bellevue resident was speeding on Northeast 148th. Bellevue Police believe he was driving up to 70 mph, well above the posted speed limit of 40 mph. At the same time a Ford Taurus, driven by a 57-year-old man with a passenger, attempted to make a left hand turn into the Bellevue Highlands Condominiums. The two vehicles crashed into each other. "At this point we are still determining who caused the accident, but we do believe that both drivers were impaired," said the Bellevue Police Department. The passenger in the Ford Taurus was taken to the hospital with broken bones. "Looking at the impact on that car, we were shocked that the person survived," police said. The drivers of both cars were evaluated for injuries and then arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and possible DUI.
