Police: Speeding driver causes 5-car crash in Bremerton(link is external)

BREMERTON, Wash. -- Several people were injured after a speeding driver caused a multi-vehicle, chain-reaction crash at a busy intersection Friday night, the Bremerton Police Department said. The Kia also rear-ended a second car, then continued across the intersection where it hit yet another car traveling westbound on Kitsap Way, police said. Police say while speed was "clearly a factor" in the crash, they are working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved. Police say the mother was airlifted to Harrison Medical Center, and her baby was uninjured. One passenger whose car was rear-ended was airlifted to Harborview Medical in critical condition.
