Police in Federal Way say a woman suspected of shoplifting at a mall led police on a chase that ended with a wreck on Interstate 5 and caused a major traffic jam during the Friday evening commute.
Police in Federal Way say a woman suspected of shoplifting at a mall led police on a chase that ended with a wreck on Interstate 5 and caused a major traffic jam during the Friday evening commute. A Federal Way law enforcement officer was trying to arrest the woman when she jumped into her car and drove at him. When officers gave chase, the woman drove onto southbound I-5, then tried to make a U-turn into the northbound lanes. Her car hit two vehicles before coming to a stop. Some minor injuries were reported. The woman was arrested.
