Front Street South was closed at Sixth Avenue Southeast while police investigated the incident, but is now open.

As of early the morning of Feb. 11, Issaquah Police Sgt. Jeff Johnson said the King County Medical Examiner’s Office had not yet released the victim’s name, so it was not yet going to be made public.

Cause of death was blunt force injury to the head, torso and extremities.
Issaquah police say a 25-year-old man died after his car crossed the median on Front Street South and crashed into a tree near Sixth Avenue Southeast. The accident occurred at around 12:45 a.m. during heavy fog in the area. David J. Schneider was the only occupant of the vehicle.
