There were 10 people on the two boats. One was 16 feet with six people aboard, and the other was 20 feet with four people aboard.
Three people, including a young boy, were minorly hurt when two boats smashed near Houghton Beach Saturday just after 5:30 p.m.. The accident occurred when a 16-foot boat carrying six people crashed into a 20-foot boat carrying four people, about 200 yards off the beach. Two adults and a 5-year-old boy were treated for minor injuries.
