Snohomish County deputy strikes pedestrian with patrol car

The deputy has been with the agency for four years. He remains active pending the investigation results of the collision.

An incident occured on Saturday morning in Lake Stevens in which a deputy struck a 51-year-old pedestrian with his patrol car. The deputy was on routine patrol driving on state Route 92 near Callow Road early Saturday morning when he hit the pedestrian. The man was reportedly wearing dark clothing and headphones at the time of the crash. A second driver called 911 and narrowly missed another pedestrian wearing dark clothing in the same spot. The pedestrian was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.
