A Tulalip man remained on life support Wednesday after being struck by a car while riding a bicycle the night before.

A 35-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured on Tuesday when he was struck by a car in the 7000 block of 35th Avenue Northeast on the Tulalip Reservation, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

35-year-old Joseph Harvey was seriously injured on Tuesday when he was struck by a car in the 7000 block of 35th Avenue Northeast on the Tulalip Reservation. The family of the victim, who is believed to be a transient living on the reservation, told investigators he was near the road talking on his cellphone shortly before he was hit. The driver of the car reported that he stopped and pulled over after something struck and shattered his windshield. When he got out, the driver saw the victim lying off the roadway. There were no witnesses to the incident, but criminal charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
