DUI arrest made in Monroe crash that seriously injured cyclist
A 54-year-old cyclist was seriously injured when he was struck by a Ford SUV on State Route 2 east of Roosevelt Road in Monroe around 12:38 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old man from Monroe, was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, according to the Washington State Patrol. The bicyclist was transported to Harborview Medical Center with various injuries, including several broken bones.
