Bicyclist injured in crash with pickup

A bicyclist was injured Saturday night when a pickup truck hit him near the intersection of Pioneer Highway and Milltown Road.

The bicyclist, a 62-year-old Stanwood man, was in satisfactory condition Monday morning at Skagit Valley Hospital. The man was riding his 10-speed bicycle south on Pioneer Highway about 10:40 p.m. when he drifted into another southbound lane, according to a State Patrol report. A Dodge Dakota pickup truck driving in that lane hit the man, according to the report.
