4 injured when Suburban flips on I-5

Four Chehalis residents were injured after a Chevrolet Suburban flipped Friday on Interstate 5 seven miles south of Napavine, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Four Chehalis residents were injured after a Chevrolet Suburban flipped Friday on Interstate 5 south of Napavine. Michelle Hall-Fontenette, 41, was driving a 1999 Suburban north in the right lane of the interstate at 12:55 p.m. when she changed lanes to the left to avoid hitting another car. The Suburban went onto the rumble strip and into a gravel median, then swerved to the right across the interstate, spinning clockwise into the shoulder. The Suburban flipped onto its top, coming to rest facing south on the northbound shoulder. Hall-Fontenette was injured and taken to Centralia Providence Hospital. Her three passengers — a 16-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys — also were injured and taken to the hospital. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
