Two men have been found deceased near a wrecked vehicle off a Forest Service road in the Derby Canyon area in Chelan County. Sheriff Brian Burnett said Thursday that the 50-year-old of Peshastin told relatives he was going for a drive in the area on Wednesday. He and a friend were seen leaving in an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The two were reported overdue late Wednesday night and the wreckage was found Thursday, about 75 yards down a steep embankment off a primitive road. The sheriff says snow on area roads was more than 2 feet deep in some locations.
