Woman dies in early morning crash with tow truck in Tacoma
A witness reported that the woman was driving at excessive speed when she hit the tow truck about 1:45 a.m. in the 9600 block of Yakima Avenue South, Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said. The tow truck had the green light at the intersection, when the SUV hit the front end of the truck, Cool said.

Tacoma Police say the accident happened around 2 a.m. near 96th St S and Yakima Ave S. It appears the driver of the SUV lost control and didn't see the tow truck, striking it.
