Woman struck, killed by car exiting I-5 in Tacoma

Police say she may also have been run over by other passing cars as well. 

Police were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident at about midnight on Monday at I-5 and Portland Avenue. The pedestrian, a woman who is believed to be an intoxicated transient, was hit when a driver took the off-ramp from I-5 to Portland Avenue. The driver stopped and cooperated with police. The woman may have been hit by additional vehicles after the initial impact. We'll update this story with any new information we receive.
