Driver flees scene of head-on crash on highway 395; MedStar launched for critical injuries Posted: Updated: MedStar is en route to a head on collision involving three vehicles on highway 395 near Short Rd. We know serious injuries were sustained but we do not know to how many people. Trooper Jeff Sevigney with the Washington State Patrol tells us one of the vehicles, a silver Nissan Sedan, fled the scene and was last scene heading north into Deer Park. As soon as we get more information we will update this story.  Police are asking that anyone who sees a vehicle with that description call 9-1-1.

Multi-car wreck snarls traffic on US395 near Deer Park

DEER PARK, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol is investigating a two-car collision that happened on US 395 near Deer Park early Wednesday morning. According to deputies, the collision happened near Short Road just before 9:00 a.m. Troopers said it was seen heading north into Deer Park. Northwest MedStar is en route to the scene as authorities said there are serious injuries. KREM 2 News' Raishad Hardnett is on the way to the scene and will have the latest.

Serious head-on Hwy 395 crash no longer being called hit-and-run

We do know serious injuries were sustained in the crash and MedStar transported an unknown number of passengers to a nearby hospital. Washington State Patrol says they are no longer looking for a silver Nissan sedan thought to be involved in a serious crash on Highway 395 and Short Rd. near Deer Park. However, after further investigation they are no longer investigating this crash as a hit-and-run. Originally, WSP thought three cars were involved in the crash and suspected a third car had fled the scene. We have not hear how serious the injuries were.
