Man dies in farm tractor rollover accident

Daniel Martinez-Cortez, 57, was driving an Evans Fruit Company-owned Ford farm tractor towing a spray trailer south in the 30,000 block of Road O-Southwest, about nine miles southeast of Mattawa.

Cortez leaves behind his wife of 34 years. He had no children.

Daniel Martinez-Cortez, 57, was driving an Evans Fruit Company-owned Ford farm tractor in the 30,000 block of Road O-Southwest, when he overcorrected the tractor causing it to roll.  Martinez-Cortez was dislodged and was immediately killed by the tractor on top of him.
