Karen H. Cox, 56, injured after driving down embankment and flipping car in alleged DUI in Northport, WA

Northport woman injured in suspected drunken driving crash

Karen H. Cox was airlifted from the scene of the crash, which occurred just after 5 p.m. about two miles south of Northport on State Route 25, according to a news release. Cox’s pickup truck left the roadway when she tried to negotiate a turn, driving down an embankment, up another and then flipping onto its roof, according to the WSP.

Cox has already been treated and released from Sacred Heart Medical Center, and was confirmed to be wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. The pickup truck was completely destroyed in the crash.
