At around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Edward E. Hanway of Nespelem was walking in the northbound lane of State Road 97 when he was struck by a 2006 Chrysler 300 driven by 28-year-old Brianna Marie Kelley of Okanogan. Hanway was transported to Midvalley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
