A pedestrian walking on the roadway was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Mission and Burns early Friday morning according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office.

A male pedestrian said to be in his late 40s was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Mission and Progress early Friday morning in Spokane Valley. The Spokane County Sheriff's Office said that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
