One hurt in bus and car in I-90crash
The bus changed lanes, striking a 2002 Lexus which was destroyed after the driver lost control and struck a jersey barrier, the State Patrol said.
Bus driver Howard K. Mangis was cited for making an unsafe lane change that caused an accident about a mile east of the Snoqualmie Pass summit Friday afternoon. Mangis, 63, of Medical Lake, was driving a 2002 Prevost tour bus west on Interstate 90 when the accident occurred at about 4:20 p.m., when the bus changed lanes, striking a 2002 Lexus which was destroyed after the driver lost control and struck a jersey barrier, the State Patrol said. Shawn Nguyen, 24, of Seattle, was the driver of the Lexus and was taken by ambulance to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital to be treated for injuries. The car’s two passengers, a 22-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl were not hurt. After a collision like this, a personal injury claim often results, to help the injured person pay for medical treatments and bills. Learn more here about how personal injury claims are managed.
