Trooper Elijah Eilers, 26, was reportedly outside his car speaking to the driver of another car on the shoulder of I-90 at milepost 57. A 21-year-old driver heading westbound then lost control and hit Eilers.

According to Washington State Patrol PIO Jeremy Weber, WSP Trooper Elijah Eilers was released from the hospital with no significant injuries. Weber says Eilers is experiencing soreness and will likely continue to be sore for the next few days.
