Man charged after fatal crash in Logan County

Deputies allege Eddie Bailey was under the influence when his vehicle slammed into a car at around 5 a.m. Tuesday on Holden Road near Cora. Deputies said the force of the collision ejected David Trammell, of Peach Creek, from the approaching vehicle. He died at the scene.

UPDATE: Man arrested, victim ID’d in Logan County crash

According to the Cora Volunteer Fire Department, the two-vehicle crash happened around 4:42 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26, on Holden Road. The crash temporarily closed the roadway from the Shamrock Bridge to the Cora Bridge.

The first crash happened early on the morning after Christmas, Dec. 26, 2023, when 20-year-old David Trammell was killed by an alleged drunk driver. A 72-year-old man is facing charges in that crash.
