"We were dispatched for report of a jackknifed semi with a car underneath it that was on fire," Nelson said. "When we got here, there was heavy fire involvement that we quickly extinguished. We found one patient trapped in the vehicle underneath the semi trailer. We extricated that patient. He's in critical condition, transported to a local hospital. Driver of the semi had minor injuries. He was transported as well for evaluation."
