Nine people were inside of the van, and eight of them were killed in the crash. The driver of the tanker truck was also killed in the crash, the county coroner said.

The van was going northbound and there was a stop sign there, Sheriffs Office Chief Deputy James Hirsch said. The semi was going east and the van pulled right out in front of the semi.
