A Sauk City man is accused of driving under the influence after he reportedly struck and killed pedestrian on Madison's east side Thursday night.

Another motorist, a nurse, performed CCR until paramedics arrived. The injured woman was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead by the Dane County Medical Examiner.

He's was arrested and tentatively charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.

The office says Sara Wolf was hit by a vehicle on East Washington Ave. and Stoughton Rd around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was crossing East Washington Avenue at North Stoughton Road when Adam M. Sutter, 25, ran the red light when turning from Stoughton onto Washington and struck the woman. Despite a nurse who happened to be there at the time performing CPR, the woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Sutter has since been arrest and charged for operating a vehicle while under the influence.
