DeAnthony Parks, 16, dead in two-vehicle crash on North Port Washington Road and Capitol Drive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed one person has died as a result of this crash. MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed one person is dead after a car appears to have flipped and then smashed into a home near N. Port Washington Road and Capitol Drive Saturday, January 23rd. Milwaukee police have not released any details at this time but approximately 8-10 squads were at the scene shortly after 11:00 a.m. Tow trucks are on scene Saturday afternoon to clear the scene. Several of the car's occupants ran from the vehicle. Police responded the area of Port Washington Road and Capitol Drive around 10:45 a.m., where a stolen Toyota Camry lie upside down, after hitting a house. The Camry then ran into a nearby house. They are investigating and working to find the names of the Camry's occupants. The Camry was heading northbound when it hit an Oldsmobile Alero, police said.

We cannot be surprised when there is a significant increase in the stolen car rate when there’s no meaningful sanctions or services generated for anyone arrested in that stolen car. A 16-year-old boy was killed when a stolen vehicle struck another vehicle, and the collision caused the vehicle to strike a home and come to rest on its roof. The 16-year-old boy was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, and several others fled the stolen vehicle on foot. Port Washington Road and Capitol Drive has been arrested. The 15-year-old girl was a passenger in the vehicle, police say. Milwaukee Police Chief Flynn said authorities knew the teen well. “He has been on the Auto Theft Robbery Task Force list since August of last year,” Chief Flynn said. After this crash, some of the city’s top officials questioned whether the county’s juvenile justice system is holding repeat offenders accountable.
