Police: 1 killed when vehicle flees traffic stop; crashes into another vehicle & pole near 27th & Capitol

Police say the vehicle, an older model Chevy, continued northbound on N. 27th Street at “a very high rate of speed.” As the vehicle neared Capitol Drive, it struck another vehicle and a concrete light pole.

A rear passenger — a male in his late teens or early 20s died at the scene.

Coleman-Wilks pleaded guilty to one count of second degree reckless homicide and one count of second degree reckless injury. Two other charges were dismissed.
