An Edgerton woman was killed and two others were injured when a car ran a stop sign and crashed into a tractor-trailer Monday afternoon.
The fatal crash occurred the intersection of State Highway 11 and County Road H in the town of Plymouth at approximately 6:00 p.m. when a car heading south on County Road H failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a semi heading east on Highway 11. The semi jackknifed into a field. Jessica Kay, 41, of Edgerton, was a passenger in the car and was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, as were both drivers. Kay was later pronounced deceased. The semi driver was treated and released. The driver of the car is being treated for serious injuries.
