2 dead after plane dropping candy crashes in Wyoming

Two men are dead when a small plane that was dropping candy from the sky onto an event on the ground crashed in western Wyoming.

The plane went down close to homes about five miles northwest of Afton but Lincoln County sheriff's officials say nobody on the ground was hurt. Sheriff's officials declined to say what sort of event was taking place. Killed were 22-year-old Brad Lefevre and 64-year-old Chad Burton, both residents of the Afton area in Star Valley. The crash happened just before 7 p.m.
