New Orleans, LAA Franklinton woman riding an ATV died Wednesday after she disregarded a traffic signal and was struck by a car, State Police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Louisiana highways 450 and 16, State Police said.
Cynamon A. Warden, 21, died of injuries at Interim LSU Hospital in New Orleans.
State Police said the collision happened around 12:55 p.m. Wednesday after Warden, who was driving the Kawasaki four-wheeler on Louisiana 450, disregarded a flashing stop sign and red signal light as she crossed Louisiana 16.

Sunday, March 30, 2014A man was airlifted to the hospital Monday morning after he fell off an ATV and hit his head, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
It happened just before 10 a.m. Monday in a cornfield near the 12000 block of M-40 in Bloomingdale Township, northwest of Paw Paw.

Portland, ORA bicyclist was critically injured in a collision with a car in Northeast Portland Thursday evening, police said.
Officers were called just before 8 p.m. to the crash at Northeast Killingsworth Street and Cully Boulevard.
Police and medical responders at the scene found 24-year-old Ryan Egge suffering from traumatic injuries, said Portland police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

Washington, DCA 16-year-old was seriously injured after falling from a mountain board, similar to a skateboard, while being pulled by a vehicle in Ashburn, Va., Sunday.
Another 16-year-old was driving the vehicle, which had a rope tied to the rear, in the parking lot of Broad Run High School. That teen has been charged with reckless driving.
The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Inova Loudoun Hospital and was later airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Last year, another Virginia teen died in a similar incident.

Ft. Wayne, INPolice said two 12-year-old girls were injured in an off-road vehicle crash in Wells County Friday night. One of the girls was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital in serious condition after she was pinned underneath the ORV.
According to Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers, Trinity Wine, 12, of Keystone, was driving a Polaris Ranger with passenger Tess Gilbert, 12, of Warren, on private property in the area of 1500 E. 900 S. in Keystone shortly before 7 p.m. Friday.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLAn Inverness teen who was driving an ATV without headlights or a helmet died in a crash in Citrus County on Monday evening.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators say at about 8:39 p.m., 17-year-old Alexander Terraciano was driving the ATV on County Road 581.
A 2003 Honda Civic driven by Barbara Jean Cross, 38, of Hernando, was driving behind Terraciano and hit the back of the ATV.
Terraciano died at the scene of the crash.
No charges were filed in connection with the crash.

South Bend-Elkhart, INA man was hurt Sunday when the snowmobile he was riding on crashed and he was thrown from the vehicle. It happened around 6 a.m. on the eastern shoreline of Magician Lake in Silver Creek Township, northwest of Dowagiac, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred just after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Clark Rd. and Honore Ave. The scooter operator, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

Phoenix, AZA motorcycle wreck on Interstate 10 at Queen Creek Road closed the westbound lanes of the freeway Wednesday morning, according to officials.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials worked alongside the Gila River Police Department to close the freeway at 8:30 a.m., said a DPS spokesman. The lanes were reopened about an hour and a half later, just before 10 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The motorcyclist was traveling faster than the speed of traffic on I-10 when he hit the back of an SUV and tumbled across the freeway, according to Garcia.

Phoenix, AZA Phoenix garbage-truck driver failed to yield before the truck collided with a motorcycle Thursday afternoon in a wreck that left the motorcyclist in critical condition, according to Phoenix police.
The truck was leaving the driveway of the Carefree Transfer Station near Deer Valley Road and 16th Street in north Phoenix at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday and the driver did not yield for an eastbound Yamaha motorcyclist, said a spokesman with the Phoenix police.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, hit the front of the truck and was ejected from the bike.
