An Inverness teen who was driving an ATV without headlights or a helmet died in a crash in Citrus County on Monday evening. Florida Highway Patrol investigators say at about 8:39 p.m., 17-year-old Alexander Terraciano was driving the ATV on County Road 581. A 2003 Honda Civic driven by Barbara Jean Cross, 38, of Hernando, was driving behind Terraciano and hit the back of the ATV. Terraciano died at the scene of the crash. No charges were filed in connection with the crash.

A Friday morning wreck involving a van and a Quitman school bus on a Cleburne County state highway ended with a woman's death, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary crash report. The school bus was at a stop on Arkansas 124 east of Quitman picking up a fourth child when a Kia van struck the back end of the bus, ultimately killing the van's driver, Martha Bearden, 54, of Guy, the report states. The road conditions were clear and dry, according to the report. The report also lists a female passenger of the van — Phoenix Bearden of Guy, whose age is not provided — as injured.

A driver was arrested and charged with attacking a Massachusetts State Trooper after a minor accident on Interstate 93 Friday morning. Nassive Palmer, 30, of Woburn, had pulled over in the breakdown lane on 93 south in Medford around 7:30 a.m. after his Dodge Caravan allegedly rear-ended an Audi. As Trooper Nicolo Falco asked each driver for their license and registration, police said Palmer “began to become uncooperative” and tried to drive away.

Kenosha County authorities have identified the driver of a Toyota Camry who crashed into a school bus Thursday as 35-year-old Shawn Hudon of the Paddock Lake, according to a release. Hudon remains at Froedtert Hospital in critical but stable condition. He was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life with serious injuries after rear-ending the bus as it was letting off a student on Highway 45 in the Town of Paris around 3:40 p.m. The crash is still under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a 22-year-old man was killed when he slammed his car into the rear of a snowplow. The patrol said Daniel D. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident just before 9 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 6 in Sandusky County in northern Ohio. Johnson was wearing his seat belt when he crashed his 2002 Pontiac Bonneville into the 2006 International truck driven by 54-year-old Donald E. Schlea, who was injured and taken to a hospital. There was no word on his condition. The crash is still being investigated. Troopers don't believe alcohol was a factor.

Five people were injured Tuesday morning in a crash involving a Lynx bus in Orange County, according to Florida Highway Patrol. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at South Rio Grande Avenue and 24th Street just after 10:30 a.m. Troopers said the Lynx bus was stopped at a bus stop northbound on Rio Grande Avenue in the right lane when it was struck from behind by a 2007 Nissan driven by 28-year-old Jethro Pierre, of Orlando. Video a helicopter showed a red bumper wedged beneath the rear bumper of a green Lynx bus.

Former University of Miami football star JoJo Nicolas was critically injured in a violent crash on the MacArthur Causeway Tuesday morning, Miami Beach Police said. The crash happened around 5 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Causeway just before Fountain Street when the driver of a gray Lexus rear-ended a tractor trailer, police said. Footage showed the car crushed underneath the tractor trailer. Nicolas, 24, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The truck driver stayed at the scene.

A Braintree teen has pleaded not guilty in Quincy District Court to operating under the influence of drugs after he allegedly crashed his car into a police cruiser while he was trying to videotape an accident scene on his cellphone, police said. William Sawyer Jr., 18, was also charged with impeded operation, operating to endanger, and obstructing an emergency vehicle, according to a Norfolk district attorney’s spokesman.

One man is dead after police say he was ejected from his pickup truck during a crash on I-185 Saturday afternoon. The two-vehicle crash occurred in the Northbound lanes just North of the St. Mary's Road exit when the driver of the truck rear-ended another vehicle. Officials say 27-year-old Mitchell Lee Miles lost control of the vehicle and hit the guard rail before he was ejected and died. Traffic was redirected from the St. Mary's Northbound entrance to I-185 as officials closed the lanes to investigate the scene. No one from the other vehicle was injured.

A 27-year-old Stuart man died early Saturday in a wreck on Southwest Martin Downs Boulevard in Palm City, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Philip Wade Harvey Jr. was driving his 2011 Hyundai Accent eastbound near Southwest Mapp Road when a 2009 Acura MDX struck him from behind, FHP said. The Acura continued its forward motion and pushed Harvey’s Hyundai through the intersection and further down the roadway.
