Douglas R. Foster was traveling north on State Road 24 on a motorcycle when he lost control of the vehicle and it fell on its left side. Foster and his passenger, Linda Ramsden, were thrown from the vehicle. They were both taken to UF Health Shands Hospital. Foster was pronounced dead, and Ramsden was listed in critical condition.

A fatal ATV crash happened Wednesday evening  just after 7 p.m., that killed Jeremiah T. Busam, 40, of Goshen. Busam was driving a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 800 Quad runner north on Shiloh Road when he exited the side of the road and crashed into a mailbox. Busam was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the crash site.

Chase Lewis Mills, 28, was killed and his female passenger minorly injured Tuesday night in an accident the Spartanburg County. The moped struck a van while turning from State 11 onto Ragan Street just before 7 p.m. Mills was killed, and his passenger was ejected and taken to Spartanburg Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. No one in the van was injured. Misting rain and fog may have been a factor. Neither person on the moped was wearing a helmet.

Tyrone Celestine was riding his bike on West Mills Avenue when he was hit by a Dodge truck and fatally injured. Celestine was ejected from his bicycle, and was not wearing a helmet; he died at a local hospital. The driver of the truc, 52-year-old Lawrence Sam, was intoxicated at the time of the crash and has been booked into St. Martin Parish Jail.

Jason Ogrady, 34, of Fremont, and his passenger Tianna Graham, 30, also of Fremont, were riding on Port Clinton Road when Ogrady lost control of his vehicle and hit a mailbox and tree. Both Ogrady and Graham were thrown from the vehicle. Graham was flown to Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center where she later died. Ogrady sustained only minor injuries and was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle impaired, driving under suspension, operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement, and failure to control.

Gregory Philpot, 58, died after his motorcycle collided with a Ford Explorer driven by George Pickett, 38, in Middletown, Ohio in Butler County. The accident occured around 10:15 p.m. on October 19, 2014 on Tytus Avenue when the Explorer was driving east on Tytus and the motorcycle west on Tytus. The Explorer crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle, ejecting Philpot from the motorcycle. Philpot was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and died at the scene. The driver of the Explorer was not injured. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.

At around 4:00am, a 25-year-old motorcyclist was turning into the parking lot for Hard Rock Casino, when his front tire hit a median and he was thrown from the vehicle. He was critically injured and taken to Tampa General Hospital. He was not wearing a helmet during the crash.

52-year-old Ernest Miller has died from injuries after a crash that happened Sunday around 1 a.m. at North Edgewood Avenue and Ina Street. Another motorcyclist, riding with two other motorcycles, was traveling northbound in the left lane and hit Miller, who was in the roadway. The second motorcycle went down, but after it stopped, the driver fled without checking on Miller, who was transported to UF medical center in critical condition, where he died. Miller was wearing a novelty helmet, which was not DOT compliant.

The motorcyclist and the driver of the car were both taken to Upstate University Hospital, though the motorcyclist was in critical condition while the car driver only sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The man's (who was driving the motorcycle) helmet was not on properly as it came off in the crash, which caused major head trauma. The woman was wearing a helmet but still suffered abrasions. Both were taken to the Palomar Medical Center, though only the man was admitted.
