Motorcyclist seriously hurt in San Marcos wreck

The pair was headed north on North Twin Oaks Valley Road approaching La Cienega Road around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday when the man lost control of the motorcycle, according to sheriff's Deputy C. Morreale. Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were thrown to the ground.
The man's (who was driving the motorcycle) helmet was not on properly as it came off in the crash, which caused major head trauma. The woman was wearing a helmet but still suffered abrasions. Both were taken to the Palomar Medical Center, though only the man was admitted.
