Thursday, January 9, 2014A crash involving two cars and a school bus with children on board slowed traffic on Business 40 west Friday morning.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. just west of the Highway 52 interchange. A driver of one of the cars was treated for minor injuries at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, though nobody else was injured.
Bus no. 80 was carrying seven students from Diggs-Latham Elementary School at the time of the crash, said officials from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.

Tuesday, January 7, 2014About 20 students were taken to the hospital after a school bus was involved in a crash in Winston-Salem Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Murray Road and Becks Church Road.
A total of 49 students were on bus 771, which serves Gibson Elementary School, at the time of the crash. Of those, 19 students complained of pain and were taken to Brenner Children's Hospital in the county EMS bus.

Trenton-NJAuthorities say a six-year-old boy has died after being struck by a school bus Monday morning.
Edmond Bock IV was hit shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Aqua Lane in Waterford’s Atco section.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s office, the bus was stopped to pick up other children when the victim began walking around the front of the vehicle.
When the school bus began moving again, it fatally struck the first grader.
An investigation is underway to determine if there was anything criminal in the child’s death.

Phoenix, AZA crash involving two school buses in San Tan Valley sent four students to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A Pina County Sheriff's Office spokesman said the crash happened about 8:45 a.m. as schools opened after the long holiday break. Medical personnel treated six of the seven passengers on the two buses, the spokesman said.
The crash was at Denim Trail and Azalea Drive, the spokesman said.

Pittsburgh, PAEmergency crews are at the scene of a fatal accident involving a school bus and a car on Route 366, just north of Marlboro Drive.
The driver of a car died after hitting a bus full of students from Highlands High School on Route 366 in New Kensington, Westmoreland County. No students were injured.
The New Kensington Police Chief said that the driver of the car crossed the center line and hit the school bus, which was full of students.
The driver of the car died, police said. That person has not been identified yet.

Dallas-Ft. Worth, TXRescuers in Lewisville are on the scene of a serious crash involving a school bus and at least two vehicles.
The accident happened on Highway 121 Business and Railroad Street, just east of Interstate-35E and south of Main Street.
The school bus was empty, besides the driver.
There are reports that the driver of one of the vehicles ran a red light and hit the school bus.

Los Angeles, CAOne adult and one student suffered minor injuries when a station wagon and school bus were involved in a collision Thursday in the west San Fernando Valley.
The crash was reported about 7:48 a.m. in the 7000 block of Corbin Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The bus was carrying about a dozen students, and all had exited the vehicle after the wreck, officials said. Three patients were assessed for injury, officials said.
A student and an adult attendant were taken to a hospital with very minor injuries, officials said.

Wednesday, December 18, 2013A school bus with eight children on board was involved in a crash with two other cars in Livermore this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The crash was reported shortly before 7:55 a.m. near Murrieta and Stanley boulevards.
At least one person suffered minor injuries in the crash, CHP Officer Ron Simmons said. He did not know if the injury was to someone on the
bus or in one of the other cars.
CHP officers remained at the scene Thursday morning, Simmons said. The highway patrol investigates all collisions in the state involving school buses.

St. Louis, MOA school bus was involved in a two-vehicle wreck in Eureka on Thursday. The bus came to a stop in a ditch after it apparently hit a pickup truck on Rt. 109 just south of Interstate 44 around 6:50 a.m. It appeared the bus may have also hit a yield sign, which was seen on the ground at the scene. No students were onboard the bus. Two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Memphis, TNA car rear-ended a bus at a Collierville intersection Wednesday.
The bus was taking 32 students home from Bailey Station Elementary when the accident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. at Shea Road and Poplar Avenue.
No students were injured; they were safely transferred to another bus to the school where parents picked them up.
The bus driver was checked out by paramedics as a precaution. The driver of the Corvette was airlifted to The MED.
