On Thursday evening, 18-year-old John Wayne Freret of Wiggins was stopped in a Dodge station wagon in the eastbound lane of Highway 26 behind a vehicle that was waiting to turn off the highway. At this time, 53-year-old Blake W. Hunter of St. Amant, Louisinana, was approaching Freret's car from the rear in a Chevrolet pickup. Hunder wasn't able to slow in time to stop, and he tried to avoid rear-ending Freret's car but veered left into oncoming traffic instead of veering right.

Lance Sanders was driving south on Highway 99 when he lost control of his vehicle and it overturned, crossed the median, and continued into the northbound lanes. Alyssa Gore was driving northbound and collided head-on with Sanders' vehicle. This caused Gore's car to be pushed into a Dodge truck. Six people were involved in the accident in total. Alyssa Gore was traveling with two passengers, Tyson Smith, and 2-month-old baby Emily Smith. The truck was carrying two people: Kingsley McPherson, 68, and Gail Anderson, 67.

At about 8:50pm, Martinez was driving a Lincoln Town Car west on Carob Street when investigators believe he crossed the double-yellow line into oncoming traffic and struck a pickup truck head-on. The collision left Martinez dead at the scene, and sent the family in the pickup truck, which included a man, woman, and infant, to the hospital via helicopter. A dog that was in Martinez's car was thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. It has been helped by Hesperia Animal Control.

A fiery head-on car accident in Pine Township, Michigan left two men in the hospital Friday afternoon. The accident occured at approximately 2 PM on M-91 in Pine Township when an SUV driven by a 52-year-old man was driving erratically at high speed before failing to negotiate a curve south of Langston. The SUV crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting head-on with a pickup driven by a 60-year-old man. The SUV began leaking gas immediately after the accident and caught fire. According to police, a passerby then extinguished the flames.
