A 7-year-old boy was flown to a trauma center Monday afternoon after being injured in an all-terrain vehicle rollover in Loxahatchee, said a spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. The child was flown by Trauma Hawk to St. Mary’s Medical Center, Borroto said. The accident happened a few minutes before 6 p.m. on the 17,700 block of 61st Place North.

Newport News Police say a two-vehicle crash along Warwick Boulevard Monday night involved both a utility pole and a house. A white Dodge van and a Volvo were both traveling north on Warwick Blvd. — the van in the right lane and the Volvo in the left — when the van attempted a left turn onto 64th Street and crashed into the Volvo, police said. The van then collided with a utility pole and the Volvo crashed into a nearby residence.

Nine people were hospitalized, three injured seriously, when a small school bus overturned in Brooklyn Monday afternoon. It happened at Marcy avenue and Halsey street in the Bedford Stuyvesant section, where the bus was reportedly hit by a taxi. Six students were on the bus and they were taken to Kings County Hospital as a precaution. Three adults were transported to area hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries. An investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.

A woman died after a collision that closed West San Marcos Boulevard in San Marcos Saturday afternoon, a sheriff’s official said. A pickup and an Infiniti sedan collided near Discovery Road about 4:20 p.m., a sheriff’s Lt. said. Two children, an infant and a 6-year-old, were reported to be in one of the vehicles, possibly the woman’s sedan, police said. The older child appeared to have some injury, he said. The woman died before she could be taken to a hospital. Deputies closed the boulevard between Las Posas Road and Knights Realm during the investigation.

Eleven people were injured after a five-vehicle collision on North Lamar Boulevard at 39 1/2 Street around 3:30 Saturday afternoon. Several EMS crews responded to the rollover accident. The first reports indicated at least one patient was trapped inside a vehicle. Additional paramedics responded to 39th Street and Medical Parkway for a report of another patient involved in the accident.

The Utah Highway Patrol says a roll over crash happened on Interstate-15 near Parowan Friday afternoon. A southbound vehicle blew a rear tire and it rolled off the highway. The vehicle came to rest on it's side. The 36-year-old male driver was uninjured in the crash, but his wife was pinned in the Ford Expedition and she had to be freed by the fire department. The woman sustained some moderate injuries in the crash, according to a UHP press release. Three children were also in the car and they were treated and released from a local hospital in Cedar City.

Police say they have a man in custody about two miles from the scene of a crash early Saturday after leading police on a chase that went into two counties. A police officer was injured in that crash and the suspect reportedly fled the scene with two children that had been in the back seat. The situation began around 2 a.m. when a Hendricks County K-9 officer attempted to make a traffic stop on South Raceway Road and County Road 100 South.

The Minnesota State Patrol is identifying the four people killed Friday near Sleepy Eye on icy roads. It happened on Highway 14 in Brown County just after 8 p.m. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed westbound on Highway 14, going into a curve heading southbound, when it lost control and entered into the opposite lane of traffic. It was hit broadside by a 1999 Dodge Ram headed northbound into the curve.

A 44-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence Friday night after causing a three-car accident on Route 44 that injured two children, police said. Several fire departments responded to crash, which happened at the intersection of Route 44 and Old Albany Turnpike near the Simsbury town line about 6:21 p.m. According to police, the first vehicle, driven by Alex Ponomarov, turned left from Route 44 onto Old Albany Turnpike and struck the side of a minivan that was traveling in the opposite lane of Route 44.

Three people, including a 36-month-old child, were transported to a hospital after a head-on collision in north Phoenix on Wednesday, according to Phoenix fire officials. Phoenix police received the call for the head-on collision between two vehicles near Dynamite Boulevard and Pyramid Peak Parkway just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Phoenix Fire Department spokesman.
