Police say a woman was trying to commit suicide by intentionally crashing into two cars Tuesday with her baby strapped into a car seat in her SUV. Elizabeth Kruger, 28, of Evergreen Park is charged with one count of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated battery, one count of aggravated fleeing and eluding, one count of leaving the Scene of a personal injury accident, one count of endangering the life of a child and several more traffic offenses. Police say Kruger purposely crashed her BMW SUV into a car at 79th Street and New England in Burbank, and drove away.

Two buses full of band members crashed into each other on their way to the parades this morning, according to an official with New Orleans Emergency Medical Services. Three students suffered non life-threatening injuries and were transported to Children's Hospital of New Orleans, said a spokeswoman for New Orleans EMS. The three students were from Martin Behrman Charter School, according to NBC affiliate WDSU. The buses, one of which appeared to suffer heavy damage to its engine block, were headed westbound on Interstate 10 near the Claiborne Avenue exit when they crashed at about 8:01 p.m.

A school bus full of elementary school children was hit by a car in Rowan County Tuesday morning. The crash was reported around 9:45 a.m. on Woodleaf Road in Rowan County just outside of Salisbury near W. Ridge Road. The school bus was bringing back 28 students from Woodleaf Elementary School who had gone to see a play at the Norvell Theater in downtown Salisbury. A car crossed the center line of the road hitting the bus head-on. A second bus full of students was behind the first bus, but it was not involved in the accident.

The Etowah County Deputy Coroner said three people died as a result of a wreck on Alabama 77 in Attalla this morning. The accident occurred in front of Wendy's near the Walmart Supercenter at 7:26 a.m. today. Head said multiple witnesses saw a Toyota Camry traveling north on Alabama 77 veer into the southbound lane for reasons that are unclear. Traveling south was an 18-wheel truck carrying a mobile home. The car struck the underside of the mobile home, sheering the top of the car.

A Fort Worth Independent School District school bus was involved in a crash Monday morning. According to MedStar Mobile Healthcare, which provides mobile ambulance service in Fort Worth and 14 other Tarrant County cities, the school bus and another vehicle, a black Nissan, collided at about 10:15 a.m., injuring seven people. MedStar said three children, an adult from the bus and the adult driver of the second vehicle were all transported to area hospitals. One adult and another child were treated at the scene. The conditions of all of those involved were not released.

Rescue crews responded to a four-vehicle crash at 56th and R streets Saturday morning. Lincoln Police say it happened just before 10 a.m. They say a pickup truck driving west on R Street violated a traffic signal at the intersection and was hit by a southbound minivan. The collision pushed the pickup into two other vehicles stopped at the light. Lincoln Fire & Rescue officials say all four people in the minivan, two adults and two children, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the driver of the pickup was cited on scene.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision that killed three people in Pontotoc County. At 8:35 p.m. on Friday night, troopers were dispatched to the crash scene located on Highway 6, near Beulah Grove Road. The preliminary investigation indicates Margel Swann, 51, of New Albany, was driving a 1995 Isuzu pick-up east bound in the west bound lanes of the highway when his vehicle collided head-on into a 2004 Honda Accord, driven by Connie Malone, 43, of Thaxton.

Police have arrested a driver for a hit-and-run incident in Norwich Friday night. Officers responded to 159 Norwich Ave where a 10-year-old child was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene just before 7:00 p.m. According to police, the child suffered a leg injury and was taken to William W. Backus Hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening. The driver, Theresa Morgan of Norwich, was arrested a short time later after the accident. Morgan is charged with evading responsibility and released on a $2,500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on March 11th.

6-year-old boy died and three other people were hospitalized Friday following a wrong-way car crash on Interstate 5 just north of Vancouver. The accident happened just before 2 p.m. when an 84-year-old Vancouver man driving south in the northbound portion of I-5 crashed head-on into a car driven by a La Center woman who had two children in her vehicle.
